Lizemari Geldenhuys joined Graham Beck as Winemaker in January 2025, bringing with her a passion for Cap Classique and a wealth of international experience. Formerly the most senior winemaker at Kleine Zalze, Lizemari has carved out a name for herself in the world of traditional method sparkling wine, with a meticulous, intuitive approach to every bottle.

 

For Lizemari, Cap Classique is more than wine; it’s a living, breathing process.

 

“Cap Classique has grown into a bit of an obsession for me,” she says. “I love that each bottle undergoes its own individual journey. It offers this incredible space for both precision and creativity.”

 

From base wine selection to final dosage, Lizemari approaches each step with quiet confidence and curiosity, always striving for refinement - a value deeply aligned with Graham Beck’s pursuit of the perfect bubble.

 

When she’s not in the cellar, Lizemari can be found scuba diving, canoeing, or exploring mountain trails - pursuits that reflect the same energy and balance she brings to her winemaking
