Where Terroir Meets Mastery
The newest release in the Artisan Collection, Chardonnay 14:277 2020, reflects purity, restraint and exceptional finesse. Named for its origin - Block 14 on our Madeba farm and planted to Clone 277 Chardonnay - this single-vineyard parcel stands out for its small, aromatic berries rooted in pure limestone soils. The 2020 vintage delivered pristine fruit, hand-harvested and vinified across terracotta amphorae, Clayver ceramics, French oak and Austrian foudre. After blending, the wine rested five years on the lees before being released without dosage, preserving its mineral intensity and natural tension.
On the palate, delicate notes of lemon zest, grapefruit and Granny Smith apple are layered with subtle almond and spice, leading to a creamy yet energetic finish. This is an expression of terroir and technique in perfect harmony - a true testament to our pursuit of the perfect bubble.
