Graham Beck is elated to announce that our Méthode Cap Classiques once again sparkled at this year’s 2019 Veritas Awards.

The Graham Beck Cuvée Clive 2014 was awarded a Double Gold, with our Graham Beck Blanc de Blancs 2014 and 2015 receiving Gold Medals.

As one of the oldest and most prestigious competitions in South Africa, the Veritas Awards is an annual wine calendar highlight, honouring the best of the best within the winemaking industry. Since inception, Graham Beck Cuvée Clive’s has been the pinnacle of our Cap Classique craft, representing the apex of our artistic inspiration and creative endeavours.

It seems that the critics agree with our intention, as Graham Beck Cuvée Clive was one of only two Veritas Double Gold winners within the entire Méthode Cap Classique and Sparkling Wine Category, highlighting the true expertise of our team, spearheaded by cellarmaster, Pieter Ferreira and winemaker, Pierre de Klerk. Indeed, over the years, Cuvée Clive has enjoyed a veritable cornucopia of prestigious accolades, with our most recent award coming from distinguished wine journalist Tim Atkin. In his 2019 South African Special Report, the Cuvée Clive 2014 excelled as a top achiever among Graham Beck’s entries, receiving an incredible 96 out of 100 score and earning the title of Overall Sparkling Wine of the Year. With close to 1500 entries at this year’s 29th Veritas Awards, it is a true honour to continue to lead the way as dedicated producers of exceptional bubbles.
