As the year draws to a close, we reflect on a remarkable season of accolades that highlight the mastery, precision and patience behind every Graham Beck Cap Classique. Across national and international stages, 2025 affirmed the House’s standing as a global leader in traditional-method sparkling wine.


Making History in Tim Atkin MW’s South Africa Special Report
Four of our vintage Cap Classiques achieved 95 points or higher in Tim Atkin MW’s 2025 South Africa Special Report - a testament to both terroir and time. Cuvée Clive 2019 led the charge, making history as Sparkling Wine of the Year for the seventh time with an exceptional 97 points.


Gold Honours at the IWSC & A Top Global Ranking
At the International Wine & Spirit Competition (IWSC), both Cuvée Clive 2019 and Blanc de Blancs 2019 earned Gold Medals, while the House was named No. 2 Top Producer in the IWSC Global Top 50 - one of the world’s most respected distinctions in the wine industry.


A Triple Crown at the National Wine Challenge
Cuvée Clive 2019 received a rare triple accolade at the National Wine Challenge - recognised as Cap Classique Wine of the Year, Grand Cru National Champion and Top 100 Double Platinum - underscoring its enduring pedigree.


International Recognition from Decanter & Beyond
At the 2025 Decanter World Wine Awards, Pinot Noir Rosé 2019 earned Gold with 96 points, standing among the top sparkling wines entered globally. Further recognition followed at the Michelangelo International Wine & Spirits Awards and 2025 Veritas Awards, where multiple Double Gold medals reinforced the House’s unwavering dedication to consistency and craft.


A Strong Showing in Platter’s 2026
In the Platter’s South African Wine Guide 2026, the country’s most comprehensive annual wine reference, five of our standout Cap Classiques earned top-tier ratings. This recognition - based on a rigorous two-tiered assessment - highlights the craftsmanship and terroir expression at the core of Graham Beck.
